Today, David Savage of www.beamazing.co.nz and www.zingabeam.com gave us a tour of the social brain and explained our instinctive reactions to people, places and things. There was some really thought-provoking information about emotions and relationships and how primitive our needs for connection are. One of the key comments for me, was that isolation was quoted as being more deadly than smoking! I made a comment on the webinar about how sometimes in this professional the line between solitude and isolation can be a bit blurry. And David reminded us that emotions are contagious and we can either be hijacked by negative others or inspired by positive others.
So glad I am on the supervision call today and will be surrounded by inspiring coaches!
The recording will be available in the Members Area by the end of the week. I’m off now to think about the people I spend most of my time with and how they may impact on me emotionally.
Best wishes for your continued coaching success.
