How Breaking Into Speaking Can Add An Extra String To Your Coaching Bow

Do you remember the first time you ever heard that old cliché riddle:  What came first, the chicken or the egg?  I was about 8 when I heard it and I spent many hours twisting my poor brain in knots thinking, “Well, it has to be the chicken, because you can’t have an egg without a chicken!” and then “But if you don’t have an egg, you just can’t have a chicken can you?”.  Did anyone else do that kind of mental gymnastics as a kid?  No?  Oh well, maybe I was just a bit odd.

Anyway, let’s ponder this question:  What comes first?  The big list of clients followed by the speaking gigs or the speaking gigs followed by the big list of clients?  This was the way that Sandi Givens made us think this week in her webinar “How Breaking Into Professional Speaking Can Add an Extra String To Your Coaching Bow”.  I love it when a presenter provokes those kinds of questioning in their audience!

Sandi blew everyone away with her clear distinctions and definitions of both the Speaking AND the Coaching industries and she had us all spellbound as she walked us through the stages of becoming a Professional Speaker.  Personally, my favourite part was when she first debunked some myths around Professional Speaking (‘Speaking Circuits’, ‘Not everyone can be a Public Speaker’, ‘I’ll become a speaker when I get invited to speak at events by my clients’ to name but a few) and then gave us some clear definitive steps and top ten tips on how to get on the road to Professional Speaking.

So if you’ve been thinking that becoming a speaker comes after you have built a successful business, think again; it’s definitely time flip that thinking and begin to use Speaking as the springboard to grow your coaching business.  This fabulous webinar will show you exactly how you should do it.
