Who is ANZI Coaching, what do they do?
The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Coaching (‘ANZI Coaching’) is an association for Coaches which provides support, supervision and ongoing professional development for Coaches. We help Coaches to add to their coaching skills so that they can create viable coaching careers whether they are internal Coaches in the workplace or external Coaches running their own businesses.
Who is involved in the business?
The business is owned by Sally Parrish and run by Sally and her Core Management Team. Sally has a long and successful career in training, learning, development and coaching in the UK, Asia and Australia.
She is known in coaching circles for her pioneering and innovative contribution to the industry. Her coaching career highlights include developing and designing the first ever Government accredited Diploma in coaching in 2004 which opened the doors for the entire coach training industry to offer coaching qualification pathways. In 2010 she participated in the working party which created the Australian Standards Guidelines for Coaching in Organisations. She has also served as Head of Australasia for the International Institute of Coaching (IIC) and as Head of Professional Development for ICF Victoria.
You can read her full bio here http://www.anzicoaching.com/about-us/ or on LinkedIn http://www.linkedin.com/in/sallyparrish
Sally partners with the best of the business. This is demonstrated in the high quality of presenters and speakers on the webinar series and the 2010 Conference. The Conference featured many of the leading coaching experts and thought leaders including the President for ICF Australia, the president for the National Speakers Association of Australia, and key representatives from Institute of Executive Coaching (IEC), Life Coaching Academy (LCA), Open Door Coaching Group, Deakin Prime, University of Woollongong, Sir John Whitmore, Thomas Crane (‘The Heart of Coaching’), Jeff Kennett (Beyond Blue Chairman) and many many more.
How does ANZI Coaching compare to ICF?
Why do Coaches want to compare? Let us express that it would be a limiting choice for you to decide between one or the other. Both organisations have a very different offering and as such there are benefits to you to have membership of both. In fact the more organisations you can align to and the more resources you can tap into, the better your chances of long-lasting and sustainable success.
However, in the interests of helping you to compare and contrast the offerings, here are some key distinctions (disclaimer: contact ICF for full information about their offering). The following information is correct at the time of writing.

Is Membership and Accreditation with ANZI Coaching ‘recognised’?
It is up to every Coach in the industry to promote our professional associations and to educate our clients about why these associations exist. Your clients don’t know ICF or ANZI Coaching!
The value for you as a Coach, is in being able to explain to your clients “the coaching industry is not regulated, but I have elected to join a professional association called the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Coaching as a mark of my professional commitment to what I do. They provide me with ongoing support, supervision and professional development and in return I am bound by their voluntary code of conduct and agree to commit to a minimum number of hours dedicated to coaching professionalism”.

Why every Coach should take up membership with ANZI Coaching
Why should a coach develop their skills? We know from our industry research that the vast majority of Coaches who complete their coach training studies do not get their coaching careers off the ground. Something like 70% of coaches leave the industry within 3 years of commencing coach-training studies. Because as wonderful as coaching is, clients simply aren’t yet kicking down our doors to sign up to it! ANZI Coaching exists to help you utilise your coaching skills and to do what you love, coaching!
We also know that the coaches who have had successful coaching careers for five years or more have some things in common; they participate in continuous ongoing professional development, they have experts they can turn to for support, supervision and mentoring and they invest in their success.
You can have a successful coaching career too. We’ll help you to build and grow your coaching skills and to give you access to leading experts and well-established coaches to network with. Mix with the best and see watch your coaching opportunities sky-rocket. Stop struggling and start enjoying your coaching successes.
