About Us
The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Coaching ('ANZI Coaching') is an Australian based business, established and operated from Melbourne. The business was founded by Sally Parrish in 2006 in an attempt to provide a solution to assist more coaches to create successful coaching careers and businesses.
Sally Parrish, Founder & Director, is the former Head of Australasia for the International Institute of Coaching (‘IIC’), based UK and formerly known as European Coaching Institute (‘ECI’), the former Head of Professional Development for the International Coach Federation (‘ICF’), Victoria. In 2004 she developed and led a steering committee of high-caliber Coaches who together under her leadership created the first-ever government accredited Diploma in Coaching in Australia.
Growing frustrated with the increasing numbers of Coaches who were struggling to sustain careers as Coaches and getting alarmed by the huge number of Coaches who were quitting the industry altogether, Sally proactively created a system to help more Coaches to create viable coaching careers.
In 2006, after trialing the systems and working with a high volume of personal coaching clients and helping them to achieve successful coaching businesses, she formed an industry solution; ANZI Coaching. A place where Coaches can connect, align, access supervision, receive mentoring and develop their coaching skills on a continuous basis. More importantly, a place where Coaches can turn their coaching skills into a viable coaching career.
Now in the fifth year of operation, ANZI Coaching continues to grow from strength to strength and is recognised as a sign of professionalism for Member Coaches. ANZI Coaching also boasts alliances with some of the best coach-training schools and key experts in the industry and were also a recent proud participant in the 2010 Australian Standards Draft Coaching Guidelines Working Party.
ANZI Coaching is a mark of quality, professionalism and commitment – a Coach who is a member of ANZI Coaching is a professional who is serious, dedicated and committed to their career. They are a Coach who has stepped up, invested in themselves, used coaching as a powerful form of personal development and plays at 100%. In fact an ANZI Coaching Member Coach is a person who walks the talk and is exactly the type of Coach a client will seek out.
We are in the business of assisting Coaches to tap into their coaching skills in a way that creates a viable coaching career. Whether you want to enhance your on-job performance as a workplace coach or whether you work as an external coach running your own business, we have the coaching tools, connections and resources to help all Coaches (Life Coaches, Business Coaches, Executive Coaches, Wellness Coaches, Coaches at Work, etc).
We do not teach Coaching! We work alongside the best coach-training schools in the business and we’re happy to refer you to one of their courses if you are simply looking to learn how to coach or to improve your coaching skills. Our niche is in helping students and graduates of coach-training programs to tap into their skills and expertise and create stellar coaching careers.
You can join us as an ‘Affiliate Coach’ (non-accredited) or as an ‘Accredited Coach’. Either way, you will be demonstrating your passion and commitment to your coaching career. All of our members abide by the ANZI Coaching Code of Conduct and can be identified by the ANZI Coaching professional coaching logo.
